  1. Kevin,

I am totally blown away by your race. You are my hero. I have been checking in your progress the entire way across the USA. I am so impressed with your resilance. Keep it going one more tough night in the mountians and then just coast it into Annapolis.
I am jealous of your accomplishments.

  2. KEVIN!! It's RA! I've been following you throughout each and every day since RAAM began! You ROCK! YOU ARE AWESOME! GO KEVIN! I can remember our talks on a few 200k's out of Bonifay and talking about our goals. I talked about wanting to do RAAM since the first time I saw it on TV back in the '80's. I used my head and crewed in 2005. ;) But YOU talked about working towards wanting to maybe someday do RAAM and here you are NOW 5TH OVERALL! I'm so excited for you! Keep pedaling! Keep positive! I am so proud of you! You are da MAN!
    Your North Florida buddy,

  3. RIDE, KEVIN, RIDE!! I believe that you have less than 500 miles to go!! I really wish I were in Maryland to see you come in...I am going to ask my family if they can go up and stay with my grandmother in Annapolis to take pictures and stuff. You are putting time on Rees! I'm really proud of you!! Keep riding strong!!

  6. Kevin,

I just can't tell you how overwhelming your ride is for me, my friend. The last thing I do at night is check the leaderboard. Of course I've checked it 87 times since my supper. The first thing I do in the morning is check the leaderboard. I check it before I get coffee. I check it after I get coffee.

Every time I look at the RAAM site during the day or in the middle of the night I realize I've been eating, or sleeping, or taking a shower, or working, or swimming, or playing on the computer. While I've been doing whatever it is I've been doing you've been riding. I mean talk about a long bike ride. And, not just long, but aren't you getting faster as the race progresses?

I believe you've been eating your Wheaties, Kevin.

I knew you were The Man, but this effort, this RAAM, you're setting a new standard, Kevin.

Everywhere I go people are talking about your ride. Everyone is just blown away by how you're riding, where you are on the leaderboard, how you've put the hurt on everyone you passed, how you're stomped your nearest competition, how you're riding so well day after day, with so little sleep.

There is only one suggestion I have for you, Kevin: Grilled Cheese!

What a ride! What a race!

I'm praying for you and all the other cyclists, for your safety, for your health. I know, Kevin, that God is with you on this amazing ride.

Thanks to you and your crew, Kevin, for such a wonderful experience.

    Jim

  7. Gosh Kevin, not 5th, but 4th now since Jure abandoned because of his time penalty. Way to pedal; savor every moment as you cross that finish line tomorrow!
